On April 21, 2026, a career guidance event for school students of Kyiv took place at Vcentri HUB (Shevchenkivskyi) – a lecture on the topic “International projects and initiatives in the innovation ecosystem of the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman”.

Within the framework of the event, key directions of the university’s development were presented, in particular international cooperation, innovative activity, and modern educational opportunities. The report was delivered by Larysa Leontiivna Antoniuk – Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of KNEU, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor. Oleksandr Anatoliiovych Fedirko – Head of the Department of European Economics and Business – also took part in the event. Representatives of the Department of Computer Science joined the presentation of the university’s technological capabilities. In particular, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Computer Science Yaroslav Yuriiovych Vozniuk and Head of the Educational and Scientific Laboratory “Information Control Systems and Technologies” Oleksandr Volodymyrovych Liaskovych presented the areas of activity of the department and demonstrated practical cases of the use of innovative technologies in the educational process.

Special attention was paid to the demonstration of:
• augmented and virtual reality technologies (AR/VR);
• additive technologies (3D printing);
• 3D scanning technologies.

Participants of the event had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the operation of VR headsets, a 3D printer, and a 3D scanner, which made it possible to clearly demonstrate the modern level of the department’s material and technical support and the practical orientation of student training.

Holding such events is an important element of the department’s career guidance activities and contributes to shaping the interest of school youth in the field of information technology and further studies at KNEU.
