Within the framework of the national academic exchange program “PLATSKART,” aimed at promoting modern educational practices, developing interuniversity communication, and strengthening the integration of higher education institutions into a unified educational space of Ukraine, the Department of Computer Science of KNEU hosted students of the Department of Information Technologies and Data Analytics of the National University “Ostroh Academy” – Daryna Morykon and Daryna Ilchuk.

From April 27 to May 1, 2026, the program participants from the National University “Ostroh Academy” attended classes, familiarized themselves with the educational process and the specifics of training students at KNEU. They became acquainted with the material and technical base of the Educational and Scientific Institute “Institute of Information Technologies in Economics of Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman,” in particular with the educational and scientific laboratories “Information Control Systems and Technologies” and “Artificial Intelligence Systems.”

The students were presented with best practices of project implementation using microcontroller systems: a smart traffic light, various robotic complexes, a voice assistant, an automatic night lamp with the university emblem, a countdown timer with a display, a plant irrigation system, a weather station, a parking sensor system, a “smart home” system, a wheeled robot, an IoT monitoring system, a smart mirror, an access control system, and others. Special attention was paid to the practical component: within the discipline “Software and Hardware Support of Microcontroller Systems,” together with Senior Lecturer of the Department of Computer Science Yaroslav Yuriiovych Vozniuk, the students implemented a project of a home weather station system.

In addition to academic activities, the participants visited the Job Fair “Career Labyrinth,” which took place at KNEU, where they had the opportunity to learn about employment opportunities and the requirements of the modern IT market.

An important component of the visit was also the cultural program, in particular familiarization with the history of Kyiv and its educational and scientific environment.

The implementation of such initiatives contributes to the exchange of experience, the expansion of academic opportunities for students, and the formation of a unified educational space in Ukraine.
