Participation in the business event “SpanConnect: Microsoft AI & Security Meetup”18 December 2025р.On December 18, 2025, Span Ukraine, together with Microsoft, held a business dinner titled “SpanConnect: Microsoft AI & Security Meetup”, dedicated to modern solutions in the field of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
The event was attended by Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science of Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman, Oksana Volodymyrivna Choporova, who joined the discussion on the prospects for the development of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity in educational and business environments. During the meeting, participants learned about the practical capabilities of the Microsoft ecosystem for businesses and organizations. In particular, attention was paid to the implementation of intelligent workflows using Microsoft Copilot in the Microsoft 365 environment. Participants became familiar with how Copilot automates routine work processes, simplifies the preparation of documents, analytical materials, and business correspondence, and also contributes to increasing the efficiency of team collaboration and workflow management.
Microsoft AI services for business were also discussed separately, as they open up new opportunities for working with data and supporting managerial decision-making. During the discussion, it was demonstrated how artificial intelligence tools can be used to analyze large volumes of information, generate analytical insights, as well as create intelligent chatbots and customer support services. The practical application of AI was illustrated using the example of the banking sector. Participants were presented with a case of implementing Microsoft Copilot Studio at ABN AMRO Bank, where AI solutions provide support for more than 3.5 million customer inquiries. This approach made it possible to significantly improve the quality of customer service and optimize the work of support services. Considerable attention during the event was also paid to cybersecurity issues. Participants were shown modern approaches to proactive protection against cyber threats, automatic detection of suspicious and anomalous activity, as well as the capabilities of centralized security management of the entire IT infrastructure. Comprehensive Microsoft solutions aimed at protecting organizations from ransomware and other critical cyber incidents were also presented. Great attention was paid to summarizing the results of cooperation between Span Ukraine and Microsoft in 2025, as well as discussing plans and opportunities for the development of the partnership in the coming year. The event facilitated the exchange of practical experience between representatives of business and the educational environment and outlined key directions for the implementation of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity in the context of digital transformation. |
