On December 15, 2025, a tour and a series of lectures for students of IT specialties from Kyiv National Economic University took place at the office of the Ukrainian IT company Universe Group. This event was organized within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation between the Department of Computer Science of the university and Universe Group, with the support of the Head of the Department, Bohdan Oleksandrovych Tishkov. The cooperation is aimed at student development and providing them with opportunities to gain practical skills in the field of IT.

Students of the 2nd–4th years of the educational and professional program “Computer Science” and master’s students of the programs “Artificial Intelligence Systems” and “Information Management Systems and Technologies” took part in the lecture component of the meeting. Also present were the Deputy Heads of the Department of Computer Science of Kyiv National Economic University – Yurii Mykolaiovych Lozovyk and Yaroslav Yuriiovych Vozniuk, who support close cooperation between the university and IT companies for the development of young talents.

The first lecture was delivered by Maksym Beshleha, a QA Engineer at Universe Group. During the lecture titled “The IT Market and Career Opportunities at Universe Group,” information was presented about the specifics of Universe Group, which is one of the leading Ukrainian IT companies specializing in building technological businesses. The company transforms innovative ideas into global products, uniting more than 200 million users from 186 countries worldwide. The group includes three companies: Guru Apps, FORMA, and Wisey, each of which has its own achievements and recognition in the global market.

FORMA focuses on the development of SaaS solutions for working with documents, in particular supporting more than 50 tools for file processing and having over 35 million processed files.
Wisey specializes in developing services to increase personal productivity and already has more than 4 million users worldwide.

The company is actively developing an R&D center that focuses on researching new ideas and implementing innovative solutions in the global technology market.
The lecturer also focused on career growth opportunities within the company. In addition, in 2025 more than 148 new employees joined the company.
Maksym Beshleha shared his experience of working in a product IT business, comparing it with traditional business. He introduced students to the key principles of Universe Group’s operations.

The second lecture was delivered by Alla Romanukha, a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Universe Group. It was dedicated to the topic “How to Make the First Step in IT.” Alla provided valuable advice on how to properly start a career in IT. She emphasized the importance of understanding one’s own interests and choosing a direction in IT, and also gave recommendations on analyzing the job market, creating a high-quality resume, and building a professional network.

The lecturer drew attention to the standard stages of recruitment in companies, spoke about test assignments, interviews with managers and recruiters, as well as the importance of the final interview. She also emphasized that every candidate must be prepared for a detailed assessment of their skills and experience.

After the lectures, students had the opportunity to tour the office of Universe Group. They saw modern workspaces, research laboratories, and recreation areas for employees. The tour allowed students not only to see the company’s working environment but also to evaluate the atmosphere that prevails in the company and promotes creativity and innovation.

The event became an important step in preparing students for the real challenges of the labor market. Students received useful advice on career development, portfolio creation, interview preparation, and the importance of soft skills. Universe Group also invited students to participate in internships and educational programs that allow young professionals to gain the necessary practical skills.
