On May 18, 2026, the Institute of Cybernetics will host the “Engineering Challenge” - an engineering hackathon dedicated to the 75th anniversary of MEOМ (the first computer in Continental Europe), organized with the support of KNEU named after Vadym Hetman, KPI named after Igor Sikorsky, KNUBA, and the Institute of Cybernetics. This is an event where history meets the future!

Six best teams from leading universities of Ukraine will compete for victory. From our university, the best students of the “Computer Science” specialty will take part in the event.

Participants will face a real challenge — the development and presentation of prototypes and real technical solutions. The jury will evaluate the quality of implementation, system approach, and practical value of the projects.
