Another excursion to the IT company SoftServe25 November 2025р.
On November 25, 2024, another career-orientation excursion was held for students of the “Computer Science” specialty.
The meeting was organized by the Head of the Department of Computer Science, Bohdan Oleksandrovych Tishkov, within the framework of systematic cooperation between the department and the company SoftServe. The excursion and presentation were conducted by Viktoriia Shevliuk, a specialist of the company and a representative of SoftServe Academy.
During the excursion, students familiarized themselves with the structure and features of work in a modern IT company, saw workspaces, areas for teamwork, rest, and learning.
The representative of SoftServe told the students about the key areas of the company’s activity, its corporate culture, modern projects, and the technologies used in the process of software development.
Special attention was paid to opportunities for the development of young specialists: participants were introduced to the educational programs and internship opportunities of SoftServe Academy, and were given recommendations regarding the competencies that need to be developed for a successful start of a career in IT.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Heads of the Department of Computer Science, Yurii Mykolaiovych Lozovykand Yaroslav Yuriiovych Vozniuk, who discussed with company representatives the prospects for further cooperation, the possibility of involving students in SoftServe Academy programs, and joint projects aimed at improving the quality of training for future specialists. Students had the opportunity to ask questions about the specifics of working in the IT field, the activities of frontend-, backend-, and fullstack developers, software architects, testers, database specialists, cybersecurity specialists, as well as analysts and UX/UI professionals.
