Valdemar VITLINSKYI, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Honorary Doctor of the National University "Ostroh Academy"

He defended his doctoral dissertation in 1996 on the topic "Evaluation, modeling and optimization of economic risk management" in the specialty 08.03.02 -economic and mathematical modeling.

V. Vitlinskyi headed the Department of Economic and Mathematical Modeling (now the Department of MMS) from 2005 to 2018. His scientific achievements include more than 350 scientific papers (8 monographs. 20 textbooks and teaching aids). Eleven scientists, for whom Vitlinskyi was a scientific consultant, defended their doctoral dissertations, thereby making a significant contribution to the development of the scientific school and economic science in general. Another 18 people, students of V. Vitlinskyi, defended their dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences, which also contributed to the development of the scientific school.
