General Information

The Institute of Modeling and Information Technologies in Economics (hereinafter referred to as the Institute) of Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman (hereinafter referred to as the University) was established by order of the State Higher Educational Institution “Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman” dated May 21, 2010 No. 420 “On the Establishment of Research Institutes” as a structural unit of the University.

The main objective of establishing the Institute of Modeling and Information Technologies in Economics is to form a unified scientific team capable of responding to the challenges of modern economic science in particular and the needs of economic development of the country in general, basing its research on various methods of mathematical modeling. The basis for creating such a team is the scientific core of the Department of Mathematical Modeling and Statistics with the involvement of leading specialists from other departments of the Institute Information Technologies in Economics. Considering the university-wide status of the Institute, scientists from other structural divisions of the University are invited to work in scientific groups in the areas of ongoing projects in accordance with their qualifications.

Main areas of research and scientific-technical activities of the Institute

  • Fundamental and applied research on the development of AI&ML technologies.
  • Building the mathematical models for analyzing and forecasting the development of complex systems, primarily in the economy and financial sphere.
  • Creation of intelligent decision support systems in production, finance, public administration, etc.
  • Providing scientific, consulting, training and other services in the field of economics, finance, mathematical modeling and information technology.
  • Development of models and systems for ensuring information and economic security.
