Educational and research laboratory of information control systems and technologies of the Department of Information Systems in Economics

The main directions and functions of the educational and scientific laboratory:

  • ensuring fundamental and applied research on the design of hardware, software, mathematical, informational, and linguistic support for various types of information systems in various fields of activity;
  • support of research and engineering work in the field of design, creation, and implementation of automated control systems for complex objects, in particular at enterprises, firms, banks, and other organizations using modern information technologies;
  • providing comprehensive research in the field of design and use of decision support systems, information and analytical systems, development and improvement of methods for designing information management systems of institutions, enterprises, organizations, and the Internet of Things;
  • ensuring the development of world experience in the development of information management systems and cloud technologies and the introduction of progressive IT standards in Ukraine to form a single information space in the specified areas of management;
  • ensuring the development and implementation of new innovative products, including specialized hardware and software, management systems, specialized laboratory work, and computer training, to acquire relevant IT competencies by future specialists;
  • creation and development of stands for reproduction of physical processes and phenomena of specified technical objects in laboratory conditions based on modern microcontroller element base and application software;
  • assistance in deepening the relationship between scientific activity and the educational process through the active use of scientific and methodological developments of the department's staff in the innovative scientific and pedagogical activities of the University teachers;
  • ensuring the use of new innovative educational products, in particular webinars, coaching, and webcasts of lectures in the direction of the use of information systems, to provide relevant services to students, graduate students, doctoral students, students of the centers of master's training and postgraduate education of the university.
  • ensuring the development and creation of electronic manuals, textbooks, curricula, computer training, educational and developmental games, discussion computer groups, and other educational services aimed at improving the quality of the educational process;
  • providing scientific, practical, consulting, recommendatory, and other assistance to the structural units of the University on the development and implementation of information systems and technologies;
  • supporting the work of students in scientific circles on the theory and practice of using information systems and technologies; holding annual scientific student conferences; organizing and holding mass scientific events for students (conferences, seminars, round tables, competitions of scientific papers, Olympiads, tournaments, etc.); creation of educational and methodological tools to meet the cognitive interests and preferences of students; study and implementation of domestic and foreign innovations and the latest technologies in the educational process.
